| Welcome to the FIX COMPUTER page. This page will get you started on fixing your computer with a few free programs. If these do not fix your computer then please e-mail me for more help. Most problems people have with their computers are SPYWARE and/or MAL-WARE programs that they’ve gotten from simply surfing the internet. These can be fixed if... 1. You still have a valid internet connection. 2. You know how to install and update a simple program. 3. You have no broken computer equipment. If you have all of the above, let’s get started.... # 1 Download, install and update (but do not run it yet) SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY from here. #2 Download, install and update (but do not run it yet) LAVASOFT Ad-AWARE from here. #3 (Windows XP users only) click this link and install and update (but do not run yet) PEST PATROL from here. #4 Go to this link and run Trend Micro -Free on-line Virus scanner NOW~! #5 If you don't have a solid anti-virus program, go here and download the FREE program, you can't beat FREE! Then go back one at a time (do not run them all at once) to each program you downloaded and installed #’s 1 through 3 (Important, make sure they are updated, if not sure, use the program help and update!) and run each. It will take about 15-20 min to run each one, if and when any one of them shows any bad items listed follow the directions for that specific program to ‘remove’ the bad items. Re-boot your computer and scan again! All three! Lastly do #4 and 5, then go to WINDOWS UPDATE and update until there are no more updates for your computer. Minus the language updates, don’t need them? Don’t install them!
